A diplomat's wand, sometimes called an ambassador's wand, is a short wand, often highly embellished, held by an ambassador or a high-ranking diplomat with sacrosanctity and presented before him in formal situations and when meeting officials of a host country. The diplomat's wand was used anciently by heralds.
