The Age of Ice and Blood is the name given by the [[dwarves]] to a prehistoric period thought to have extended over three millennia, ending about ten thousand years ago.  The Age of Ice and Blood corresponds to the time roughly after the [[Flood of Aturyanda]].  During this time, the dwarves believe that the glaciers advanced and [[dragons]] made great depredations among the dwarves and other [[humanlikes]].  During this time, the dwarves found refuge in the depths of the earth and became principally subterranean.  This is also the time of the great dwarven migrations from [[Midrardia]] to [[Bukalaa]] and to [[Pytharnia]].

The Age of Ice and Blood has some currency among humans. The Age of Ice and Blood is more often called the [[Age of Ice and Fire]] among human scholars.  [[Magdeologer]]s believe there is much evidence in the earth that confirms a period of advancing glaciers some thirteen to ten thousand years ago.
