The Rhaunve River is the longest river in southern Pytharnia. It flows through the Durrhaunve from its origin south of the Ithrad Mountains. The mouth of the Rhaunve opens opposite of the peninsula on which the city of Bryndyd rests. Thus the trade of the river was controlled by Bryndyd since its first establishment as ancient Bambashathra by the Kemerite Giants. The river is navigable by large barges as far as Sheaffy Dreath and by smaller barges to Amyrn. The god Rhaunfo is the sacred divinity of the river and his little shrines may be found along its shores.
