The Ishthiya Plot of 2698 was an attempt by Ishthiya kath Rashiyath and her husband Khahoner kab Wahikh to have her youngest sister, T'idhasul kath Rashiyath, the Incarnandina Presumptiva done away with so that she, Ishthiya, could displace her younger sister and become the Incarnandina Ascensa with the eventual death of their mother Rashiyath kath S'aphesel. In 2698, the plot was discovered and exposed by the quick work of T'idhasul's daughter, Horunath kath T'idhasul. Ishthiya's husband, Khahoner kab Wahikh was put to death by the king. Ishthiya's one daughter was taken by force from her and Ishthiya was sent into lifetime exile to the Zanqir Wastes. The jabbiyutha were given consent by the king to slay her on sight if she ever left the wastes. She was confirmed dead in 2716 allegedly due to natural causes. Incarnandina Ascensa, Rashiyath, died the next year, 2699, making her daughter T'idhasul the Incarnandina Ascensa at age 57. However, Horunath, now the Incarnandina Presumptiva, became the de facto acting Incarnandina and she assumed many roles long before her mother's old age. She established a tighter hold over the elders of the congregation and requires King Ba'akh to ask her explicit consent in matters involving the Holy Family which the king usually does.
