Aracusia is a cultural region of western and southern Corundy which is known for a strong historical Arathracian presence and predominance of a spoken Yophenthean language. It is sometimes called Aracorundy to distinguish it from greater Corundy. Aracusians have varying ancestry of Yophenthean and pre-Yophenthean cultures, including Ithatian and Jathya-Dhumi. While all of Corundy was anciently conquered and provinciated in the Yophenthean Empire, native languages in other parts of Corundy retained their cultural practice. The inhabitants of Aracusia however adopted the Yophenthean language and today speak Corundian, a daughter language.
Aracusia like much of the rest of Corundy is a famous wine-making region.
