The word Yophenthean derives from the name of the Yophenths, the ancient Erechórebese tribe of Moigthe extraction whose history is at the core of the establishment of the Yophenthean Empire. The word Yophenthean can mean several different but related things.
- Yophenthean: someone descended directly from the ancient Yophenths
- Yophenthean: a resident of the isle of Yophenthean, the honorary name given to the island of Erechóreb
- Yophenthean: a citizen of the Yophenthean Empire regardless of his ancestry
- The Classical Yophenthean Language which was the official language of the Yophenthean Empire
