A very ancient text thought to date no later than 5,000 AS, the Hœrnectian Book of the Dream is a collection of theological, cosmological, and spiritual writings by various authors in ancient [[Hœrnect]] that relates their understanding of the higher worlds and the operation of the soul.  Only about thirty percent of the original text is known to survive either in papyrus found in ancient Hœrnect or as quoted in works by later authors.  The chapter names and content of the missing seventy percent has been reconstructed by various scholars and is the subject of ongoing academic debate.  The doctrine of the Dream is central to many of its teachings.

#REDIRECT [[Omrekheen Book of the Dream]]

The Dream is seen as a manifestation of an infinite power of consciousness that predates all physical reality and exists both outside of it and in contact with it.  The Dream mediates the relationship between what is manifested in the physical or mortal world and the world of infinite consciousness.  Every morning before the soul arises, the higher self sets out all the reality before the lesser soul and the lesser soul chooses the clothing to wear.  There is baggage and there is delight.  The soul chooses them and the higher soul mediates or creates the lesser soul to inhabit the body.
