The ancient city core of Talil is Iymajbun. It is ringed by the oldest walls of the ancient city. As the city expanded and larger wall ringed the greater city, the Iymajbun core became the precinct of the ruling elite of Talil and the Kingdom of Narshad. Today the Iymajbun core is packed with palaces, courtyards, gardens, and reflecting pools. In Narsadese, the word Iymajbun has come to mean a great palace.
In Iymajbun can be found the following sites:
- Court of the Crimson Magistrates
- General Shazbarra Field
- Hezru'ab Palace
- Jehimzalya Palace where the Shu'ah convene regularly
- Princess Kharfakhra Park
