The Danzercouphtan Desert rests in the western half of the High Deserts of central Asdauria. Like much of the High Deserts, Danzercouphta, as it is also known, is ringed by mountains and inland seas, including the Sea of a Thousand Curses, the Adamantine Mountains, the Amshoori Sea, the Caldevoran Mountains, the Chrysopolite Sea, the Chalcidian Wilds, and the Lohticarca Mountains. The southernmost portion of the Danzercouphtan Desert is called the Sarvandif Wastes. The only flat, unobstructed access points to the desert are between the Adamantine Mountains and the Amshoori Sea to the west and the land between the Sea of a Thousand Curses and the end of the Lohticarca Mountains to the east.
Danzercouphta is a rather dry desert of sand dunes with a cold winter. There are some rocky plateaus towards the center of the desert.
There are few tribes who wander the Danzercouphtan Desert. The most notable is the Sahundoo of Achederia. Desert Caravans whose merchants are on friendly relations with the Sahundoo pass through Achederia and then through the southern expanse of the Jusher Wastes. The southern portion of Danzercouphta is rather inhospitable due to wild beasts and the lack of oases for watering. The presence of lapis lazuli in the southern Lohticarca Mountains has drawn merchants since ancient times. Today, the expanse of the Danzercouphtan Desert can be crossed swiftly by titancraft airships. However, the voyage can become quite perilous if the craft is downed as there are no places to service or repair titancraft vessels.
