The djinn are a highly magical, supernatural, exocosmic race that can visit or live permanently on the world of Asdar. They live natively in another realm and when they vanish at will to this realm, they seem to have become invisible. Djinn possess the native ability to fly and are stronger than humans. They can produce items, such as food, seemingly from thin air, and it is speculated they are simply summoning the items from their native realm.
Some sorcerers and other spellcasters have been known to summon and control djinn as servants, most famously King Selukyal of Jerushabla.
They are known to be the principal inhabitants of the Dominion of the Djinn in the Valley of the Djinn by the Eleph Sahida Mountains of Weshif, but can appear potentially anywhere. Their reasons for ongoing occupation of the Valley of the Djinn remain a matter of speculation.
The relationship, if any, between the djinn and the Elamahti is unknown.
