Ogdesiana is a region lying in the southwestern Adamantine Mountains and the home of numerous Zarajovenish Tribes. These tribes share the rule of their people, adopting the military governance of a strong warlord to protect them against the encroaches of their giant neighbors to the north in the mountains. There are about four major tribal groups at present. These Zarajovenish Tribes are related to the tribes who settled in Zarajove. Most Ogdesian humans are Imzaami. Although there is no capital, the tribes hold an ancestral temple-shrine in great esteem and often hold tribal councils there.

The rugged land of Ogdesiana rests in the southern Adamantine Mountains.

Ogdesiana is semi-arid and mountainous. The Leh-Shelekhumbis River flows through the land ever descending through the Canyon of the Shedu to the Susurrant Desert. The community of Kishkelumadh is found near the river.

The Zarajoveni tribes, sometimes called 'Ogdesianans' to distinguish them from the Zarajoveni Tribes of Zarajove, are principally herders of cattle related to the gontha. Additionally, Ogdesianans quarry stone and minerals. Some exceptional Ogdesianans are sky merchants.

The capital of Ogdesiana is Vashtevara that lies at the beginning of the Canyon of the Shedu through which the Leh-Shelekhumbis River flows.

Dragonriders of Ogdesiana

In the 2600's, there was a revival of the practice of dragonriding in Ogdesiana. The ancient art had been wiped out during the Middle Ages of Chaos. The dragon-riders today are known by their ancient name, the Calozhesti. The full provenance of their craft and their relationship or lack thereof to the Neptultchi Dragonriders of Pytharnia remains a matter of scholarly research.
