Near the Wizards Pavilion and the Student Dormitories of the Magitechnic Institute of Aurice, the Shrine of Ugorth memorializes Ugorth the Archmage, the founder of the Knights-Magi of Aurice and de facto ruler of Aurice in the seventeenth century.
The shrine is a small temple, about fifteen by ten feet in size, with two columns in front and two walls running alongside, called "temple in antis." It faces southeast, about 20º to the east from true south.
Although small, the Shrine of Ugorth is much beloved of Magitechnic students, especially before examinations where many whispered entreaties can be heard. The shrine and its directing chaplain are paid for by grants from the local community of mages.
