Skybarge

The Skybarge according to most accounts was invented and first developed in Xsys in the late twelfth century and become iconic of Xsyte merchants during the Middle Ages. The skybarge was the basis of aerobarge in modern times.

The skybarge is a skycraft with a relatively large wooden hull that uses a panoply of layered wings, in the fashion of a triplane from Earth to generate sufficient lift. The skybarge could bear more cargo than other skycraft, but was principally limited to a relatively low altitude, rarely exceeding about 300 meters from the surface of the earth.
