A summoning vessel sacred to Dáunau and Dáwan, a davanissa, sometimes called a dossa, is used by priests and devotees of the goddess. Water or wine or watered wine is poured into the bowl. Summoning can mean anything from summoning a vision from the gods, summoning a boon, or actually summoning a servitor or minion of the gods.
