A dawdler is someone who waits in the Trevirite Under-Rail until he or she can sneak into the labyrinthine tunnels of the Dragonneath that are not part of the underground dragonrail system run by the state. The term ‘dawdle’ is taken from the Pytharnian Language term and means something more than simply loitering. The person intentionally waits until he can escape the detection of the Under-City police and enter the Dragonneath which is typically unpatrolled. To dawdle means to wait until such an opportunity presents itself.

Entering the deep Dragonneath is forbidden by transit law and civil ordinances. These laws were created ostensibly to protect the general public.

Despite these laws, the deep Dragonneath is rarely patrolled and once one has entered without detection, there is little chance of punishment until he or she emerges into the regular world.
