Juranica rests along the eastern terminus of the Sea of a Thousand Curses in mountainous country.

Juranica is a mountainous refuge of ancient common giants who survived from the antediluvian era according to the both human and Juranic oral tradition. Their chief city is Chalcopolis, so called for is amber or bronze appearance. The Juranic giants are sometimes incorrectly called 'Tangshanian Geddamin' in the West. Juranic giants are divided into numerous tribes and speak several dialects of their kindred language. They have been united and divided under the leadership of an overlord through the millennia.

In very ancient times, well over three to four thousand years ago, Tangshanian legend recounts that great giant cities called 'Shield Cities' found on rocky plateaus, existed farther to the east, but the gods caused these giants to be driven into the mountains in the west.
