The High Shadevan Tribes are so named as they lived in the valley of Thrace before the advent of the Thwarrish Gwenyan Peoples. Scholars do no know for certain what name, if any, that the High Shadevan tribesmen gave to their collective culture. The names of their individual tribes only are preserved in Thracian literature and among the very small remnants of the High Shadevan Tribes who live in the high alpine valleys of the east Jaggudorns.
The tribes dwelling on the High Shadevan Plateau are thought to be survivors and remnants of the greater and ancienter Shadew River Civilization which was in turn descended from before the Great Flood from the Japhedunic Peoples. The advent of the High Gwanyan tribes into the High Shadevan Plateau dispersed and absorbed these lingering, Pre-Gwanyan tribes. Many words in the Jaggudornese Languages are thought to derive from the High Shadevan Language which today is known only in part to scholars, the current spoken language of the Shadevan remnants having undergone considerable creolization.
Scholars believe the High Shadevan Tribes are related to the Malesggite Civilization of the Shadevan Delta.
The Jamyá Tribe living in the shadow of the Jaggudorns was pre-eminent among the High Shadevan Tribes. They dwelt in the foothills of western Thrace and are thought to have introduced the practice of Shawath.
Tales and surviving artwork depict the people of the High Shadevan Tribes as short, somewhat stout with very dark brown or sometimes dark green eyes, dark hair, and pale skin -- traits very similar to the modern remnant families of eastern Thrace.
Scholars say other tribes include: Gubná, Tajyá, Keddahyá, Pagdá, Tatajyá, D'amekgashachwa,
The High Shadevan people look somewhat like the Turkic peoples of Earth, possibly the Khazakhs. There relationship, if any, with the Jaffgorn is highly debatable and what little we know of Shadevan legend does not give a clear answer.
