The thraughbears, often simply called thraughs, are bears indigenous to the Jaggudorn mountains, both the east and the western slopes. Thraughs have a thick winter coat that changes from white to silvery grey in the summer. They den through the bitter cold of the Jaggudornish winter. Thraughs are nearly as great as snowbears. They fish from rivers and streams in the autumn, including the havrut, hunt for game when plentiful, and eat wild honeycomb and berries in season.
