A numinist is a magic-practitioner whose realm of expertise is with natural magic and creatures, both magical and non-magical. A numinist relies upon intuition, traditional magic, and folk religion. Numinists themselves hold their tradition in very high esteem and insist that the practice of numinism maintains ancient knowledge which is not duplicated by more modern, rationalistic approaches to spellcraft. Numinists do receive formal training typically from their respective order. Despite their membership in an order, they are not regarded as mages.
Numinists count the creatures of nature among their allies.
