A sylvan animal of the Pytharnian woodlands with the general shape of a sloth, the hemnasig has long fur and a long, rhinoceros-like horned nose. It is used as a domesticated beast by the Uryala. Despite its broad similarity in appeance with the arboreal sloth, the hemnasig is not especially slow and has a strength approaching a bear, although the hemnasig is not so great as a grizzly bear.
