A curial deputy is a member of the Grand Provincial Chamber commonly known as the Curia. They are also called provincial deputies. Curial deputies are chosen by the respective provincial chamber of gentry, usually about ten to fifteen per province. A deputy is in principle equal in voting power to any other provincial deputy. In practice, seniority often determines access to groups and seasoned deputies.
