The further of Asdar's twin moons, Starmoon appears smaller than Sunmoon, but considerably brighter than the brightest star which is the Cosmic Star. Starmoon's passage through the heavens is longer than Sunmoon's, consuming the duration of a "Starmonth" or about three Sunmonths which is about 72 days (71.8 days), making about five full orbits of Asdar in a given year.

Starmoon orbits further away from the world of Asdar than Sunmoon. Starmoon is also relatively small in mass and has only the subtlest influence on the tides of Asdar in contrast to Sunmoon which has a direct and apparent influence on the regular tides.

Starmoon in Myth and Legend

Ancient myths recount that Starmoon is the gateway to the Realm-of-Elamahti and as such is a companion gateway to Sunmoon, the gateway to the world of Isxinthios. Starmoon is associated with the virgin goddess, Palithreeta. In Kalaman Religion, the goddess of starmoon is Kaina.
