Thracian Names of the Amandal Plateau used for generations by the sky people are not uncommon for aristocratic lineages ruling outside of Thrace, such as in Asbardy, Aurice, or Shadrimporee.
A common naming convention for sons over a two or more generations is to use names that rhyme. The names of the Bijäls serve as an excellent example: Bralcast, Stalcast, Vast, Rhungast. Other endings include -bur, -ek, -los, -mir. In other examples, the first element is preserved and the ending changed: Bas-, Mas-, Rhog/Rhung-, Ze/Zet-. For example: Basgáddin, Basgúndin. This practice is particularly prevalent among those having or claiming Kalikán heritage.
During the time of the Zalladan Dynasty (2497 to 2576) and some centuries before, it was inappropriate to name one's child after the King as he was considered semi-divine. Furthermore, the King's given name was rarely used even outside of his presence. Rather, his patronym was used, referring to him as, "King Son of father's name."
