The most ancient myths say that at first a great tree arose on a small island in the midst of the waters of Chaos. The tree was the first life that the gods created, other forms of life being pure beings of chaos. From the tree began the proper order of life as created by the gods. The Waters of Chaos are often associated with the subterranean or hidden waters governed over by a male divinity, such as Hesukh in the Kalaman pantheon and Kuma in the Shelekhumbian and Omrekheen pantheons.
