Badru

A Badru (plural: Badrinu, possibly from ancient Midretassene) is a person of mixed djinn and human ancestry. The Badrinu are rarely and found almost exclusively in Weshif.They appear similar to Weshifi humans, but may have slightly bluish or teal-colored skin. They possess much weaker powers than their djinni parent. Sometimes Badrinu live in their own communities to avoid persecution as half-breeds by bigoted humans. A Badru may possibly be accepted into the company of djinn.

The full number of Badrinu in any place, such as a city, is rarely known as Badrinu prefer to keep their blended ancestry secret. They do this through illusion magic or sophisticated make-up or both. Badrinu are unofficially welcome in the flying city known as the Muse of the Sands.
