Phlogistician

A phlogistician is a person who studies and implements the ways and means of preventing dwarvenfire from igniting (antiphlogistics) and protecting them from such means (symphlogistics). Most military forces, palace guards, and bodyguards have experts and phlogistic corps who endeavor to prevent disablement of their own forces' dwarvenfire weapons and the active disablement of the enemy's dwarvenfire or the disablement of an assassin's dwarvenfire weapons. Phlogisticians and corollary functions arose chiefly during the Sewdhaine War.
