Languages of the World of Joturnia
The languages of Joturnia are quite numerous. This article treats mainly the modern languages which adventurers are likely to encounter. The fact that a language may be 'widely spoken' does not necessarily mean that it has a large amount of speakers. It means that it has currency in many different places in the World of Joturnia. For example, Infernal is spoken by many sorcerers, most devil-worshipers, and most Terubian scholars, but is not spoken by a large number of speakers compared to the general population of creatures that speak in the World of Joturnia.
