The Commonwealth of Shaddago rests in the Canyon of the Shadew and the surrounding mountains in southeastern Jaggudorn Mountains.

Shaddago is a land and commonwealth in the southeastern Jaggudorn Mountains. Jamenth rests to the north of Shaddago and Streionia to the south. The dwarven state of Sardeichs borders Shaddago to the west and Aurician Agogia to the southwest. To the far northeast, Hamalan shares a common border with Shaddago. The capital of the commonwealth is the historic city of Shaditurtho (old Solmagali: Xaditurhto). The course of the great Shadew River which passes through the length of Shaddago also includes the Canyon of the Shadew. In ancient times, Shaddago was the homeland of the Solmagali Tribes. In early modern times, Shaddago was united into the great empire of Thrace. The name 'Shaddago' is derived from the name of the Shadew River which is the most important geographic feature of the country along with the Jaggudorn Mountains. The demonym is Shaddagonian.

Despite resting mainly in the great valley of the Shadew River, the land of Shaddago is not flat as it is surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the world. To the north lie the Tanisperra Mountains and the Olipheimuz Mountains. To the northeast are the Helasundi Mountains and to the south and southwest are the Bhinsasa Mountains.

The climate of Shaddago is alpine with the highest elevations being similar to permafrost due to the glaciers and last throughout the year. Winters are harsh and summers mild with temperatures not warming up significantly until mid to late spring.

Shaddago today enjoys greater prosperity due to the Grand Shadew Canal although the role and consequences of the Five Locks on the people and economy of Shaddago still remains controversial. The Joint Enterprise Zone of southwestern Shaddago continues to be a matter of pride to many Shaddagonians, though most of the authority over the area has been restored to national and local government. The canal has brought more markets but also more competition. Lodging and river-barge support have become vital industries in Shaddago.

Shaddago produces gontha, grain, salmon from the Shadew, and and manufactures histopter for Heritage Skycraft and sea vessels. Due to the warming effect of the Shadew River, grapes are produced on the shores of the river in northeastern Shaddago and the region is famous for its historic wine, Shaddagony. Mineral resources include tin, silver, Aeolian Vapor,

The largest city is Shadwagorn which rests on the shore of the Shadew River. The second largest city is Shaditurhto, the present and historic capital. The commonwealth is divided into several secondary political divisions called 'cantons.'
