A curial deputy is a member of the Grand Provincial Chamber commonly known as the Curia. Curial deputies are chosen by the respective provincial chamber of gentry, usually about ten to fifteen per province. A deputy is in principle equal in voting power to any other provincial deputy. In practice, seniority often determines access to groups and seasoned deputies.
