Tis'baja is a Khahonri word which means someone who undergoes a struggle, a warrior of the isbajath. The alternative transliteration, 'tisbaja' without the apostrophe following the s is more commonly used. It comes from the verb "s'ebejeh," "to concentrate in mind, to struggle in thought against, to fight purposefully against; to fight by means of one’s determination; to be a psychic crusader." The common plural form is tis'bajuma. The feminine form is tis'bajiya. The feminine plural is tis'bajiyúth.
