Dragonneath
This nickname of the Trevirite Under-City refers more often than not to the more seedy and crime-infested reaches below Trevirs where the Under-Rail communicates. It is called 'Dragonneath' from 'dragon' and 'neath.' The 'dragon' refers by denotation to the dragon of dragonrail engines that ply through the Under-Rail. The 'neath' means below. By connotation, it also can mean a dark and dangerous realm.
The Dragonneath is thought to have existed for some time before the excavation of the tunnels for the Trevirite Under-Rail. There existed a network of tunnels for Incarnandists, Arathracians, and others escaping persecution during the rule of the Flamens of the Changeable Gods in the Middle Ages of Chaos. Rumors of entrances to the Deepearth abound. Authorities have attempted to fill in the old tunnels, but there are so many, the most they can accomplish is some degree of separation from the ancient corridors and the dragonrail tunnels.
