A throe, the gargaspuel is a beast of burden of great size employed by the servants of chaos, particularly in war. The Gargaspuel is not native to Asdar but was brought during the Anarch Wars by the battle-minions of the various chaos interests to the Eloarian Plains of Asdauria. Few gargaspuel remain from the Middle Ages of Chaos.

The body of an adult male gargaspuel is about thirty to forty feet (10m to 12m) long, with a great body covered in roan scales. The shoulders are about ten feet (3m) high. On closer inspection, the scales are thick platelets of tightly packed, short hair. The creature has a great muzzle with both fangs and tusks. The body is born up by eight, shaggy legs. The creature has a distinctive tail with a fin-like blade of flesh sprouting from the last segment. When in use, the gargaspuel holds the last half of its tail upright. The fin on the tail of the gargaspuel then vibrates and draws energies from the realms of chaos into the world. This energy empowers the servants of chaos, usually in preparation for an assault. Gargaspuel are omnivores and can be trained to perform simple tasks on command.

Gargaspuels were employed in warfare by the minions of chaos to besiege Goscundy and Aurice. The Gargaspuel held warriors armed with spears and bows. Horn of Isbuzirah were used with great effect to incite and amplify the energetic powers of the creatures in preparation for warfare.
