Aigdemean

An aigdemean is an Arathracian Senator and member of the Arathracian College of Aigdemeans, holding authority both in the college and great honor in the church. Aigdemeans possess the authority to elect a new sunfather from among their numbers. At times, they have had the power to remove a sunfather from office until the reforms of the modern era.

In jurisdiction, one to eight Aigdemeans preside over an Arathracian Theme which is the largest territorial unit of church organization and typically corresponds to an entire country.
