Gospla is a the Jathya-Dhumi word for a newt-like, freshwater amphibian found throughout Corundy, Throvy, the western Steppes, Yephalah, Shelekhumbia, and the Adamantine Mountains. The creature is about one to one and a half meters long as an adult, mildly venomous, and sometimes used as a pet or wizard's familiar. They come in numerous colorful hides and thus are favored by exotic pet fanciers. Domesticated varieties largely have been bred to reduce the toxicity of their venom, although exceptions exist where the creatures are used to protect households. When kept by fanciers, they are almost always placed under the law-lock. In the wild, they dwell in ponds, streams, rivers, and sometimes the deepearth.
