Kas is the modern name in the Pytharnian Language of the traditional divinity associated with Lake Kasgo. As a lake god, Kas was propitiated to ensure safe passage for those voyaging in boats on his waters and for a good catch of fish. Kas is honored with an ancient temple in the town of Kasguffy that rests on the shore of the lake.
Kas was worshiped before the coming of the Gwenyan Tribes by the Kemerites and by the Neptultchi.
