Amonthrace
The cult of Amonthrace arose during the Late Yophenthean Empire. Amonthrace was offered as a heterodox manifestation of the sun god Arathrax, being the god of day light transformed into the infinite understanding of the night which exceeds rational perception. Like other mystery cults of this period, the cult of Amonthrace emphasized the changeability of human experience and empowered its followers to transit from one state of being into another through sacred rites reserved only for their initiates. The worship of Amonthrace was proscribed as an apostate version of Arathracianism. However, it was never eradicated and continued to be practiced into the Middle Ages of Chaos throughout the lands of the former Yophenthean Empire. Today, the cult of Amonthrace is not openly embraced and is commonly considered a form of chaos worship due to associations with Glittering Nesilivo Spawn of Amonthrace. However, its original conception and practice was not inherently chaos-tainted.
In the Middle Ages of Chaos, the Lesser Chaos Ruler known as Glittering Nesilivo Spawn of Amonthrace presented himself as a revived manifestation of the son of Arathrax and ruled southwestern Corundy as a vassal of Prince Ulcanov of the Shattered Waters.
