Aurician Metropolis
The Aurician Metropolis consists of the islands and islets of Aurice proper and most of the islands of the outer lagoon. Cities of the Aurician Metropolis include Esojilombo (Saluncheda Island), Yomionza (Amaiuna Island), Beruttodio (Ustafra Island)), and Tirigo (Ustafra Island). The largest islands, in order, are Ustafra Island, Amaiuna Island, Saluncheda Island, Pakolobino Island, and Markuda Island. Archmage Isle (Rock of Mages) is not considered part of the Aurician Metropolis.
The house of the Provincial Curia also rests in the Aurician Metropolis. The administration of the Aurician Metropolis is appointed by the Noble Senate of Aurice. The Senate approves the locally elected viceviles who preside over their respective vicifs. Culturally, the Aurician Metropolis is considered part of Goscundy, although the western islands are really more idiomatic.
The Provincial Curia is located in the Aurician Metropolis. Several ethnic enclaves, including ratfolk and half-giants are also found in the Metropolis. The total population of the Aurician Metropolis, excluding Aurice Proper approaches two million (ca 2745 AI).
