An iconic tree of Thyria, the khakhufraa tree is a beetling giant cedar that reaches heights of 60 meters with a trunk as big as 4m wide. The woods of northern Khesheph, particularly in the high valleys below the Ephysgæe Mountains are famous for stretches of khakhufraa trees. The wood is particularly prized by the Gorcorumbese Geddamin giants for constructions of buildings and furniture.
It is estimated that the forests of Khesheph were reduced to a little over half of their ancient extent by the late Yophenthean Empire. The modern Geddamin Giants have implemented conservation measures to enable the forests to be replaced with the prospect of expansion.
