The Leosardan Empire was a powerful political entity in Ligdo and Gugia. The ascendancy and high period of the empire spanned 1220 to 1100 JYBP. The principal rulers and members of the military were the beastfolk. They were known for riding tchaltas into battle and worship gods of chaos. Their capital was the ancient temple-capital of Glor. The Leosardan Empire largely prevailed against their enemies, including humans, until the power of the Neo-Thavidian sorcerer-general, Tumtuthulb who brought about their decline and fall, ca 1150 to 1020 JYBP. Today, dialects of the Leosardan language are spoken throughout the north of the Ligdo-Gugian continent.
