Great Earthquake of Amyrn (2207)
The Great Earthquake of Amyrn struck in the summer of 2207. It toppled many columns of the Temple of Amrulon Sun God and brought down portions of the rooftop. Local lore ascribes the earthquake to the wrath of the gods, attributing their anger variously to the neglect of the cult of the god Amrulon and to the advent of the worship of the gods of Chaos. Some Arathracian theologians argued that the destruction was caused by Arathrax in retribution for the practice of Ambrasianism. The earthquake also destroyed many other notable structures and started several fires that devastated sections of the city.
At this time, Bexaloth Archmage of the Infinite Elements of Eternal Chaos (regnavit 2191 to 2302), was ruler of Bryndyd and overlord of the ruler of Amyrn, Tiullolla the Lizardslayer (regnavit 2218 to 2255).
