Zavian

Any person who unconsciously and usually unintentionally practices magic is called a Zavian, a term derived from the character Zavia. It is usually a freak accident that the person cannot intentionally duplicate without instruction or assistance by an actual practitioner of magic. Magic generated from this circumstance is called the Zavia Effect.

A gruntling barmaid unconsciously uses magic to ease her work by causing herself to levitate ever so slightly without noticeably rising above the ground. She also uses her unknown power to lighten the load of objects she carries. She is gradually suspecting that something beyond the usual is at work.
