The Early Middle Ages refers to the period of History after the Fall of the Yophenthean Empire (986 AI) and the Leviathanic Wars (1572 AI to 1581) which is generally regarded as the beginning of the transitional period that culminates in the Middle Ages of Chaos (ca. 1800 to 2250). Some historians set the beginning of the Early Middle Ages after the collapse of the Yophenthean Successor States. Other historians only consider the period of 986 to just before the First Thracian Empire (First Kalikán Empire) to be the Early Middle Ages as they exclude the High Middle Ages.
