The Goddess Magdaia was worshiped universally in ancient times as the Earth Goddess which meant to the ancient both the solid earth and the watery seas. In later times, she was distinguished as Feath Magdaia and Feath Danna, the great earth goddess and the great sea goddess, respectively. She is a full Isxinthion Goddess and is queen of the lower divinities and the counterpart to Amrulon. Magdaia is deemed kindly and nurturing in her maternal aspect, but horrifying and wanton in her destructive aspect as both are expressions of the power of nature. She is depicted in ancient and modern art with brown skin, representing the rich, nourishing soil of the earth, long dark hair, and deep blue or deep green eyes. In Kalaman art, her equivalent was depicted with deep turquoise skin and pale turquoise eyes.

She is lover uniquely to two consorts, Eshik, Lord of the Sea, and Knohm, Lord of the Earth.

Magdaia is a mainstay of the worship of the Isxinthion Old Religion. Salmakhamer is reported to have said much concerning her, more than any other Isxinthion god, other than Amrulon.
