The Ffwrsva signifies that the wearer is a wizard in Medibgö and Pytharnia

A ffwrsva is a wizard's skullcap that has become typical of wizards of Medibgö and Pytharnia since the time of the Medibgóëse Empire. In many cities and other jurisdictions within the Empire of Magdala, it is obligatory for licensed wizards to wear the skullcap and unlawful for non-wizards to wear it. In Medibgö, wizardry is often associated with noble rank. Medibgóëse wizards of noble rank have a pair of metallic wings on the cap, with one wing on each side. The house crest as a metallic badge, may be worn on the front above the forehead. Commoner wizards who serve in a household will not have the wings, but will still have the metallic badge of the house crest on the ffwrsva.

In the late 27th century (2670 to 2710), the peaked or "tufted" skullcap was popular, beginning in Medibgö. A long patch, about twice as long as it was wide, was set lengthwise on the top of the cap from front to back of the head, so that a tuft of hair could be pulled through the cap. The tuft was carefully groomed, sometimes even oiled. For bald men, a false patch of hair, like a wig, was set into the cap. The custom spread throughout East Pytharnia, Asbardy, Ambrasia, Gonfaloy, Kasthavia, Gorcorumbese Ebinóë, Ithatia, Jagohr, and Aurician Agogia.

The idiom "to wear the ffwrsva" means to be a wizard.
