A heavy dwarvenfire siege cannon, the borgissa was developed in the twenty third century (~2200's) by the dwarves of Dagdoria. Borgissas were used primarily by the dwarves for defense of their mountain fastnesses. The development of titancraft artillery has made the borgissa less desirable by the wealthiest forces, but the borgissa remains a staple for armies and mercenaries as it is more widely understood, reliable, and relatively cheap for the amount of firepower provided. Today, the borgissa is shielded against magical deactivation.
