Euphorium is a highly addictive drug, widely thought to be manufactured in Sungo, principally Tson-Do-Hsi. It is outlawed in many larger cities, including Aurice, and there is a strong black market for the substance in Aurice, Bryndyd, Trevirs, and other cities of the Pallathantic. Euphorium gives the user a sense of elation and confidence and in its most refined state can give the user the ability to produce intentional delusions. The drug is costly and the wealthy fill the ranks of its addicts. In addition to addiction, other side effects include severe ennui and depression during withdrawal from the drug and harm to the addict's brain, especially from using the most refined form.
