Filiastic ultimogeniture

Filiastic ultimogenture is the hereditary transmission of the role of the Incarnandinas as recognized by the Incarnandist General Congregation. According to Quiernite records, it has been observed since the life of Shaqtirah kath Katima. In orthodox Incarnandism, the present Incarnandina is of great importance as she is accepted as the woman who could give birth to the Incarnandus. Otherwise, her daughter or daughter's descendant could give birth. It is called filiastic, because the role is transmitted only through the matrilineal branch. It is called ultimogeniture because it is always the youngest surviving daughter.

There are exceptions. If the youngest daughter does not give birth to any daughters, the next youngest daughter receives the office. If none of the daughters have daughters, then the descent jumps back to their mother's next older sister. The genealogy of the Incarnandinas and collateral relatives is carefully monitored by the Quiernite Monks who report the status of the lineage to the General Congregation every year. There are occasions in Incarnandist history when the role of the Incarnandina has reverted to an early branch of descent.

The three generations of the Incarnandina lineage are typically alive at any one given time. Midjourney v6.
