A flub is a hatchling gibgibsew, usually less than six months old. A flub can measure from 15cm (6 in) to 150cm (60 in) long.

The term 'flubble' which comes from flub means a newly hatched gibgibsew. It is often used figuratively in the plural to refer to children in one's care.
