-The island of Gliri rests in the middle of the [[Pallathantic Sea]] very close to the shore of southern [[Pytharnia]]. Gliri is the fourth largest Ithatian Island and the sixth largest of the islands of the Pallathantic Sea.  The island enjoys a mild, Pallathantic climate with abundant gentle rains through autumn and winter, with some harsher storms in the winter. The island occasionally receives snow atop the mountain peaks in the winter.
-Gliri is not part of the [[Republic of Ithatia]], but is the core territory of the [[Republic of Gliri]].  Gliri is culturally comprised of Ithatians to the south and Glirts of ancient Moigthe exctraction to the north.  The demonym, Glirt, means pertaining to Gliri and as a substantive means residents of Gliri.  The official language is [[Ithatian Language|Ithatian]].  Gliri has resisted separate invitations to join the Republic of Ithatia and the [[Empire of Magdala]].
