Gonfalese is an ethnic name that can mean the people of Gonfaloy or the Gonfalese Language which is spoken in Gonfaloy, the Rhaunve River Valley, and Ambrasia. It can mean citizens of either Gonfaloy or persons of Gonfalese extraction, even if a citizen of Ambrasia or Amosgire. The Gonfalese Language overtook the Ambrasian Language, but has borrowed heavily from the latter many words and some idiomatic and grammatical structures.
